2010 Marathon
The 2010 National Marathon will be held in Bemidji, Minnesota the weekend of February 20-21.
The 25k will be skated at 10 AM on Saturday morning.
The 50k will be skated at 9 AM on Sunday morning.
Saturday afternoon there will be citizen races (1K and 2K, Mass start by age group)
US Speedskating Membership: A USS temporary racing license is available for $15 on site. Proof of U.S. citizenship must be supplied (e.g. passport) for processing. You may also purchase a 1 year USS membership of $30 (1st year competing) or $75 (competing athlete) on site. Other countries may compete but are not eligible to be US national champion.
Bemidji, Minnesota will be a busy place during that weekend as Bemidji State University will be hosting their Athletic Hall of Fame and Alumni Athlete Weekend. The BSU Beaver Hockey team (Frozen Four in 2009) will be playing their last game at the John Glas Field House at 7:05 PM on Feburary 20th. The Women’s Hockey team will be playing the afternoon of the 20th and the Men’s and Women’s Basketball team will be at home as well that weekend.
